What is PlasmaPen?

The PlasmaPen creates a plasma gas between the tip of the pen and the skin. This creates tiny micro traumas on the surface of the skin, which contract the epidermis encouraging the skin to generate new cells on the surface and deliver immediate skin tightening, lifting, and rejuvenation. The PlasmaPen vaporises a micromillimeter sized dot onto the surface of the skin - this tiny dot tightens up the surrounding skin.

Simultaneously, PlasmaPen causes thermal disruption to the fibroblasts contained within the dermis below which stimulates and accelerates division and migration of collagen cells. The thermal disruption later causes the tiny dots to dry superficially into minuscule crusts which fall off within a matter of days.

The end result is tighter, smoother, younger looking skin.

Does it hurt?
This depends on the area treated and the depth chosen. We always have topical anaesthetic cream available to use to make the experience pleasant for you.

When will I see results?
Results are usually visible immediately, but individual results may vary. We may recommend a course of treatments for optimal, long lasting results.

What is the aftercare?
You will be advised to not return to your daily skincare regime straight away. PlasmaPen creates micro wounds in the skin and we don’t want to congest them with any harsh products. Swelling and redness will be seen in the treated area for up to 2 weeks which is normal. We advise no exercise, sauna, steam rooms during this period and sun protection (High SPF) MUST be used every day after PlasmaPen treatments. During the consultation, your practitioner will talk you through aftercare before any treatment begins.
