MICROSCOPIC SCALP EXAMINATION

Hair loss (alopecia) is a progressive condition that has different forms and causes. The most common type of hair loss, known as androgenetic alopecia, is hereditary. If left untreated, hair loss usually progresses over time.

TrichoCOMP™ is the complete diagnostic tool that we use to determine the genetic & biological reason(s) for your hair loss. Using the Fagron TrichoTest™ and an advanced blood test, we can specifically tailor treatments depending on your results. Fagron TrichoTest™ is a simple saliva sample taken from your mouth that analyses 48 genetic variations from your DNA sample. It looks at 16 different DNA mutations to facilitate our understanding of the specific characteristics of your metabolism which contribute to your hair loss. To support this, the blood test we do in conjunction includes a full hormone panel to check for any imbalances, antinuclear antibodies to see the presence of an autoimmune condition such as alopecia areata, and key minerals selenium and zinc to identify if a deficiency is the cause of the problem.

TrichoCOMP™ also includes a microscopic scalp analysis, a blood test profile and a genetic test specific to hair loss. It is the FIRST comprehensive, complete and all-in-one diagnostic tool that uniquely analyses each case in detail - considering all possible causes for your hair loss pattern. Our Scientists and Doctors use these results to tailor your treatment plan to ensure best possible results are achieved.
